Can’t download apps after updating to iOS 8.4 on iPhone and iPad – How to fix?
Someone recently told me about their 4th gen iPad and how they were unable to download or update any applications after updating the device to iOS 8.4. No error messages were displayed when they tried to update. The circle that represents the download time for the app just went on forever.

Can’t download apps after updating to iOS 8.4 on iPhone and iPad – How to fix?
There are two methods you can try (scroll down to view how to achieve the tasks) :
- Restarting the iPad.
- Resetting the iPad to its factory default settings.
If the first method does not work, try the second.
Restarting the iPhone / iPad
- Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time.
- Let go once you see the Apple logo. The iPad should restart.
Resetting the iPhone / iPad
- Tap on the Settings icon from the home menu (or wherever it is, if moved).
- Tap General to bring up the options to the right.
- Select Reset -> Reset All Settings.
